Laboratory, quality control and research

If the task is to manufacture high-grade powders, quality control tools are essential. Our laboratory equipment has proven itself in numerous applications with its ease of handling and the extremely good reproducibility of measuring results.

We offer mills and classifiers on a miniature scale for the development of new products and processes as well as for the production of pre-series batches. Because these machines have the same design as our large production machines, the R&D results from the laboratory can be perfectly translated up to a production scale.

The air jet sieve is used to determine the particle size distribution in a powder. The measuring range is between 25 and 2000 µm. Different models are available for the laboratory, for production operations and for the pharmaceuticals industry.  Details

The PT-X powder tester permits the flowability, dispersability and compressibility of dry powders to be determined. These material properties often have a very strong influence on the suitability of a powder for downstream processes. As a result, the PT-X is used in the laboratory and for the control of incoming goods.  Details

The picoline family includes mills, classifiers and mixers on a miniature scale. Development teams can process their product using processes which correspond very closely to the production-scale processes. Just a few grams of material are necessary.  Details

Pharma-design laboratory hammer mill for the size reduction and disintegration of agglomerates and lumps of pharmaceutical and chemical products with an achievable end-product fineness of < 500 µm with minimum fines. Depending on the project, the mill can be delivered integrated into an isolator.  Details

For ultrafine comminution as well as the defibration and cutting of materials with a Mohs' hardness up to 3 and end-product fineness values – dependent on the equipment – of approx. 100 µm to 1500 µm.  Details

Multi-mill systems are mobile, very versatile concepts where two or more different mill types are integrated into one ancillary installation, allowing  a quick change-over between the required units.  Details
